the whoa nelly.

On Friday night we had some girls from camp come visit us from the coast. It was one of their birthdays that day, so a bunch of us got together for dinner. When we got home, I got a call on my phone. It was the guy that use to live in our apartment and he asked if I wanted to go see Nelly Furtado who had a show in Kelowna that night. He had two 12th row tickets on the floor and wasn't going to be using them. So we (we being the birthday girl and myself) told him we would take them, and booked it down to the arena because she was starting in 20 min.

The concert was really good. She played a variety of older songs like "Try", "Powerless" and a remix of "I'm Like a Bird", and a fabulous cover of Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy". Of course the concert would not be complete if she didn't play her hit songs off her most recent album "Loose". She had some unbelievable back-up dancers. I was watching them most of the time just because they were amazing and made me want to take up hip-hop dancing.

What a great random-spur of the moment-great birthday present- night!
